ASHRAE Journal

ASHRAE Journal Cover July 2009 84 x 111

July’s ASHRAE Journal includes an article that describes the use of direct evaporative cooling (DEC) coupled with chilled water coils. This approach uses chilled coils for cooling on days with high humidity and DEC when the humidity is low. Other topics include solving kitchen ventilation problems, the case against balancing valves, and integrated design and underfloor air. The Journal’s 50th Anniversary series continues with the February 1974 article, System Design for Compressor Reliability, by the late Milton W. Garland, Fellow ASHRAE.
